The steps for creating a business Facebook page are simple and you can follow them without having to be a technology guru. However, before you start, it is essential that you have gathered the necessary material that you will need to “dress” your page (business description, photos, etc.).
The steps to create a Facebook Business Page
A basic requirement for creating a business Facebook page is to have a personal profile, which you will have logged in with before you start the process.
Once you are logged in, go to: facebook.com/pages/creation
In this phase, you will define the basic elements of your business page, namely the name, category, and description of your business. Make sure that the name you give is the same or even like your brand or the name of your business website.
Once you have filled in all the required fields, you can proceed to the next step by clicking “Create Page”.
The page is now created, and you can “fill” it with content. The first key element you need is the profile picture, which is the identity of the page. This is where it would be a good idea to place your business logo. The second important element is the cover photo of the page. It is important to check how this photo is displayed on mobile devices as well, as it is possible that important elements about your business will be cut out.
By pressing the “Save” button at the bottom of the page on the left, you will save all the changes you have made and move on to the next stage of the process.
At this stage, you will fill in your business details. This is the “About” card, which all users refer to to contact the business, find out its phone number, website or even locate it on a map.
By clicking on the “Edit Details” button, you will enter the administration interface to update all the necessary fields with information. Fill in the phone number, email, business website, hours of operation and address.
It’s time to set the “Call to Action” button, which is important as it identifies the key objective of your business. If you have an e-shop, the best option is “Shop Now”. If you offer services, then you can choose “Call Now” or “Contact Us” or “Send Mail.”
Create your first post. Upload a video, a link to an article on your site or an image related to your business. And of course, invite your family, friends, acquaintances, and colleagues to become fans of your page.
